Welcome to our Community Portal! Future Histories Lab collaborates with community organizations to produce research, ideas, and communications tools that help your work.
If you are seeking a partner to conduct oral histories, organize archives, study problems such as food deserts, poor infrastructure, or patterns of institutional racism, we’d like to work with you. Our students, supervised by faculty, can produce maps, posters, oral histories, websites, community-engaged art projects, neighborhood design concepts and policy analyses.
We are eager to work with public libraries, community archives, and community-based organizations, especially in underserved neighborhoods. We are also seeking partnerships with public and private agencies including park districts and museums interested in new forms of community participation. Learn more about our faculty, undergraduate students, and graduate students.
